Legislator Delia DeRiggi-Whitton joined Mayor Ralph V. Suozzi and the Glen Cove City Council in honoring Glen Cove’s own all-female band, Antigone Rising, during Women’s History Month.

Glen Cove grads Cathy and Kristen Henderson were recognized at City Hall for a recent trip to the Middle East, where they performed for Israelis and Palestinians.

The US State Department sponsored the trip and the members of the band believe that it made a big difference in the lives of women in the audience at their shows to see females on stage performing rock music.
