Legislator Delia DeRiggi-Whitton met with local musician turned motivational speaker, Vinny St. Marten at her Mineola office this week.

Vinny, front man for The Seeing Eye Dog Band, has recently decided to share the life lessons he has learned from growing up blind. In a multi-media presentation he calls ‘Think About It,” the Glen Cove musician shares experiences meant to help people confront and overcome prejudice, racism and bullying. Audiences seem to buy into Vinny’s story, because of  his hard-earned wisdom, fun personality and the entertaining, musical elements of the presentation.

He has been taking this show on the road, working with Nassau’s PAL and local schools, and Vinny hopes to expand to universities, corporate retreats, churches and all the other groups who can benefit from a great, unique and genuine motivational speaker.

“We are so lucky to have a local treasure like Vinny in our community,” shared DeRiggi-Whitton. “He has already shared so much joy with us through his music all these years. Now, to bring us into his personal past and help others learn from his unique experience is just a rare opportunity. I hope that many people will use his motivational program in their organizations.”
