Rev. Dom Elias Carr Glen Cove’s 2015 St. Patrick’s Day Parade Grand Marshal.

Legislator DeRiggi-Whitton and Glen Cove Mayor Reggie Spinello were proud to meet and present citations to the honorees of this year’s 27th Annual Glen Cove St. Patrick’s Day Parade.

delia2 (1)Very Reverend Dom Elias Carr is the parade’s Grand Marshal. He is being honored because of his lifetime of devotion to the Catholic Church, currently serving as both Pastor of Church of St. Rocco and Headmaster of All Saints Regional Catholic School. Coincidentally, his parents are also both of Irish descent.

Laurieann DeFilippo is being honored as an Aide to the Grand Marshal. She is a member of St, Patrick’s Parish, where she has volunteered for the annual feast and as a CCD teacher. Prior to moving to Glen Cove, she was very active in the Queen of the Most Holy Rosary Church for over 30 years.

Robert Hannibal Ottaviano, Jr is also being honored as an Aide to the Grand Marshal. He has been very active in the Fire Service at many levels and for many years, and is also President of the Rockville Centre Diocesan Union of Holy Name Societies.

The largest annual parade in Glen Cove will take place Sunday, March 22 at 1:00 p.m. It will begin near Finley Middle School on Forest Ave, proceed through downtown Glen Cove and end at St. Patrick’s Church. There is plenty of parking in the municipal garages and at the end of the parade route.

Delia hopes everyone joins her at this terrific celebration. For information, call 516-782-7494 or visit
