County Repaired Sea Cliff Seawall

The boat ramp along Prospect Avenue in Sea Cliff and the adjoining wall were crumbling and the foundation under the ramp was washing away from storm tides. This was a potentially hazardous situation since the ramp was sinking, causing it to be uneven and dangerous for a boat to use as a launching area for access to Hempstead Harbor.

Thankfully, Legislator DeRiggi-Whitton was able to secure County funding to completely repair the seawall and replace the boat ramp. “After receiving calls from my constituents, I met Nassau County Department of Public Works representatives and Sea Cliff Mayor Bruce Kennedy at the site,” Legislator DeRiggi-Whitton said. “It was immediately apparent that the seawall was being compromised. I am very glad that the wall and boat ramp are completely secured now.”
