I was happy to be a part of the celebrations for the 102nd birthday of Port Washington’s Anna Cacaccio at the PW Senior Center! Her energy and spirit is enviable, and the community built at the Port Washington Adult Activities Center is an incredible asset to allow our seniors the opportunity to have a space to socialize and enjoy their retirement amongst good company. Happy birthday to Anna, and to many more! ![]()

Thank you to Jeffrey Stone and our partners at Project HELP Long Island, Calle Panakos from the Nassau County Office of Mental Health, Chemical Dependency and Developmental Disability Services, the Peter and Dejena Foundation and the Port Washington Public Library for hosting last night's #Narcan training session. I remain unwavering in my commitment to delivering the resources that will help save lives and give those struggling with addiction a chance at long-term, sustainable recovery.

Great joining Legislator Arnold W. Drucker and all of my colleagues at the first legislative breakfast hosted by the Long Island Collaborative of Boys & Girls Clubs! It is always a pleasure to partner with the Glen Cove Boys & Girls Club at Lincoln House the Grenville Baker Boys & Girls Club, and other wonderful Clubs on initiatives that enrich the lives of our future leaders and make our communities stronger.
my colleagues in government for the Inaugural Legislative Breakfast hosted by the LI Collaborative of Boys & Girls Clubs. The Boys and Girls Clubs of Long Island do great work with our local youth, promoting community and boosting outcomes for youths around our area. I was glad to be invited to hear about their mission and reiterate my steadfast support for their important work lifting up our next generation!

It is a true honor of a lifetime to be featured in “The Three Tomatoes” publication, which was started by Cheryl Benton and Roni Jenkins

Had a wonderful time at the Port Washington Chamber Installation Dinner. Thank you to everyone who makes Port Washington so special.
Happy 100th birthday to the incomparable Bob Praver - a true pillar of #GlenCove!Today we had a very successful Breast Cancer Screening Day. By teaming up with the Charles Evens Center we were able to break a record on the number of people we have had screened. October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month, and the team at NUMC made a real difference today in Glen Cove.

Congratulations to the Sea Cliff Arts Council on your three-year anniversary! On Friday, I had the pleasure of attending Paint Sea Cliff: A Plein Air Event and interacting with the artists and musicians who bring the world around us alive through their talents.

On Monday, we honored Nassau County Police Department Officer Ian Fogarty, whose selfless valor is an inspiration. While off duty with his family on July 16, he saw eight teenagers caught in a rip current at Cupsogue Beach County Park in #WesthamptonBeach. Without hesitation, he grabbed a body board and swam 150 feet to rescue two teens who were unable to escape the current.
His efforts were heroic and lifesaving, and I am forever grateful that Officer Fogarty is serving this County. Nassau County PBA

Prior to Monday's session, my colleagues and I had the honor of hosting a reception for talented #SeaCliff artist and photographer Jan Guga at the Legislature. His work beautifully captures the splendor of nature and historic landmarks across Nassau County.
The next time he has a display, I encourage you to check it out—you won’t want to miss it!

Great turnout yesterday at #SeaCliff Village Hall, where my office and the Department of Assessment teamed up to host the Homeowner Exemption Liaison Program (HELP) program.
We have one more workshop coming up at the Port Washington Public Library from noon - 2 p.m. on Wednesday, Oct. 22. Don't miss this chance for personalized assistance with filing applications for veteran, senior citizen, Cold War veteran, volunteer firefighter and ambulance worker, and limited-income disability exemptions!

Congratulations to St. Francis Hospital & Heart Center on the grand opening of your new heart center in East Hills! We are so fortunate to have this acclaimed leader in heart care right here in Nassau County, and I am thrilled that they are expanding their reach with an off-campus site that boasts an ambulatory care suite for cardiovascular patients a dedicated cardiac imaging suite, and more.
Pride in Port. Always a great time to focus on all the wonderful parts of Port Washington, and this year especially Rachel Fox.![]()

This morning, the Village of Sea Cliff hosted its annual Sept. 11 memorial service, paying tribute to the nearly 3,000 people who were killed on this day 24 years ago. It is always heartening to see the Village's commitment to ensuring that the victims and heroes are never forgotten, and that we will always stand with every person who continues to struggle in the aftermath of the terror attacks. #NeverForget
The Village of Manorhaven's September 11 observance is always such a meaningful gathering where we honor the victims of the terror attacks that changed the world 24 years ago and renew our commitment to help all who are battling 9/11 related illnesses. Thank you to Mayor John S Popeleski for always organizing a moving tribute that brings our community together to reflect and remember. #neverforget

Congratulations to Palazzo Ristorante Italiano on your grand opening in #PortWashington! Pleasure to join everyone in celebrating the arrival of what promises to be a great destination for Northern Italian cuisine. Wishing you all the best in the years to come!

Congratulations to Residents Forward on your inaugural #PortWashington Art Walk! It was amazing to see Upper Main Street transform into a walkable canvas - and I appreciated a chance to add my own touches to the creativity. Hats off to Mindy Germain, the Port Washington Chamber of Commerce, the Greater Port Washington Business Improvement District, and all of the creative people who made this so special.

The #GlenCove Anglers Club always does such a great job working with the City of Glen Cove Office of the Mayor in hosting their annual Snapper Derby - and this year's installment was no exception! It's a wonderful tradition for our youth that we all look forward to each year, and I thank the Anglers and the Glen Cove DPW for the hard work that makes this such a success year after year.
